In need of someone to help with my heat. When turned on it runs for about 3 minutes then clicks/ short out and cuts off. I recently had an eccobee thermostat and that went completely blank so I had the old thermostat put back in and now it’s shorting out. My system is a Trane system and I’ve been told that I need a new one but can’t afford it right now so I’m tasked to get it fixed instead.

My heater isn’t working. Every time I turn it on it runs for 3 minutes then the thermostat clicks and goes completely blank. The heat turns off and won’t work. someone came and changed my thermostat back to the old one because the echobee went blank but I desperately need help within reason.
