Licensed Plumber Needed – Water Heater & Filter/Softener + Utility Room Plumbing Upgrades
Project Overview
I am seeking a licensed plumber (WSSC certified) to complete a series of upgrades in a townhouse utility room. The scope includes PRV and double-check valve replacement, repiping from 3/4" CPVC to 1″ copper, installation of whole-house filter/softener with bypass, and installation of a 75-gal Bradford White water heater. Permit and inspection with WSSC will be required.
Scope of Work
PRV & Backflow Preventer
Remove and replace PRV with new unit.
Replace existing dual check/backflow preventer.
Utility Room Repiping
Replace existing 3/4" CPVC branches with 1″ copper to match new equipment.
Reconnect branches (¾″ and ½″) to existing distribution.
Whole-House Water Filter & Softener
Install new whole-house sediment filter + water softener with drainage line.
Build a proper 3-valve bypass for serviceability.
Water Heater Replacement
Remove existing 50-gal natural gas heater.
Install new Bradford White 75-gal, natural gas water heater.
Install/verify expansion tank, dielectric nipples, T&P discharge line to code.
Pull WSSC plumbing permit and coordinate required inspection.
Requirements
Must be licensed plumber authorized to pull permits in Montgomery County, MD (WSSC jurisdiction).
Provide permit/inspection coordination for water heater replacement (required by code).
Provide labor + material quote.
Deliverables
Proper installation of all listed equipment.
Passed WSSC inspection for water heater and any code-governed devices.
Clean, professional copper piping upgrades.
